New Look, New Food, Good Times!

In case you didn’t know the Los Angeles Dodgers are one of the best teams in baseball and are poised to make another run at the title this year. What makes a great organization great is that they are always looking to improve, even when they’ve already achieved a high level of success. The LA times reports that the Dodgers have a massive $100 million renovation set to start in the offseason, which will include dramatically changing the iconic Chavez Ravine building. More access for fans, more food options, more drink options, and more fun all around.

The Dodgers have announced that they will be making large scale changes to their stadium, mainly focused around the area behind the bleachers at center field. The plan is to attach a multi-acre plaza to be used for events and post-game activities.

The new and improved center field plaza will feature food establishments, a beer garden, two bars, a kid’s play area, and a space for live music. Fans will have the option to watch the game from straightaway center field with standing and seating areas.

The left and right field pavilions will feature enclosed bars with a view into the field and the bullpens with connecting elevators and escalators to the bleachers and pavilions and the rest of the stadium directly. With the new free flowing access throughout the stadium fans will be able to seamlessly navigate to the new bars and restaurants no matter where their seats are.

The expansion will give one of the oldest parks in the league to the modern world without losing some of the architectural charm the fans know and love. This announcement runs a parallel to the rumors and reports that next year’s MLS All Star Game will be held in Los Angeles.

Silver Lake & Echo Park is the place to be...

What are 3 top places for exceptional food in Echo Park?

1.) Mohawk Bend is a local staple for friends and family to eat, drink, and be merry with craft beer and an amazing menu

2.) Elf Cafe on Sunset Blvd has incredible food AND is 100% vegetarian

3.) Cosa Buona offers natural wine, fluffy-crust pizza, and mozzarella sticks and the locals LOVE IT! This place stays busy 7 days a week and usually has a line out of the door.

Silver Lake just got a little bit better with the opening of Asso Pasta Bar & Wine, tucked away at the intersection of Santa Monica Blvd and Sunset Blvd. Asso Pasta Bar & Wine has just opened their doors and claims to be the “new pasta experience” with an open kitchen and wine lounge. Try it out and let us know what you think! Don’t worry we didn’t forget about the bars and cocktail lounges! We highly recommend The Thirsty Cow, El Prado, Sunset Beer, and The Short Stop.
